About Us

Starting Point: A Dream from Guangzhou

In Guangzhou, China, there is a group of young people who have long worked, created, and shared joy with their African friends. They discovered that young people possess unlimited potential in every aspect of China-Africa trade, but lacked a true bridge—a platform that would connect African youth with China, the “world’s factory,” through knowledge and trust.

Thus, UMI (United Mutual International) was born.
The name UMI represents three beliefs:
United: uniting the strength of Chinese and African youth;
Mutual: mutual understanding and resource sharing;
International: connecting the world with an open mind.
